Oh how I feel like I've failed because I can't help him on my own, that I don't have the parenting skills to do anything but give him a pill. But, you and I both know now that we were failing until we made the right decision. Hugs to you. I enjoyed reading about you, your running (ugghhh) for me, but you got me at MATH! I survived 3 children who surpassed my knowledge of MATH at 4th grade. I am much better at MATH now in my 50's than I was always so anxious of getting it wrong. Best thing I ever did was find a MATH Tutor for my daughter and barter with the tutor. I cooked dinner for her and she tutored my daughter for free. Her husband thought they had the better end of the barter!

Good Luck and best wishes for you health!

BarbaraBarbara Hamplhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03267261482098904660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3487158576654436988.post-39864969032221961162014-02-09T09:28:13.094-08:002014-02-09T09:28:13.094-08:00Love. An aside: I'm in nursing school and not available for the phone most of the day, most days.

Apparently the doctor told my husband (in recovery before the versed wore off) that the polyp he removed didn't look good. I however, was blissfully unaware of this till I talked to the nurse.

In short - precancerous polyp that was "as close to cancer as you can get without actually being cancer." Which scares the hell out of me, even though I know that these things grow so slowly that yearly colonoscopies should catch them. It doesn't help that I am a nursing student and know just enough to make me paranoid about every physical condition out there...

I know that I don't know you, however, I will be thinking of you this next several weeks as you go through your next procedure. I read your blog about your practice tri and you did great, tomorrow will be awesome! Good luck and have fun. I have done a few sprint triathlons and I still get nervous before each one (no problems before half marathon’s though). I did the practice tri two weeks ago and that bike course drained me, I didn’t have much left for the run. Hopefully the water at blue lake is better this weekend… I will be out there Sunday – it will be my first triathlon in open water and my first Olympic distance.Geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16629958207390930709noreply@blogger.com
